Frotcast 384: Ace Of Strokers, With Alison Stevenson And Brendan

Are y’all ready to talk about CINEMA?!?! Good, because this week’s Frotcast, which features comedian and Vice columnist Alison Stevenson and future NFL hall of famer Brendan, is jam packed with the same in-depth film critique that keeps you coming back for more. America’s number one film podcast dives into the classic Burt Reynold’s film Stroker Ace – a movie about NASCAR racing and normalized sexual assault. We also talk about the the Beatles having a circle jerk, Matt recalls a circle jerk story of his own, Norm MacDonald’s apology tour, and Mark Wahlberg’s daily schedule.

This week brings great guests to the Frotquarters, comedians Joey Devine from Roundball Rock and returning guest Kaseem Bentley, soon to be recording his comedy album. Also, Kaseem saw Ladybird, Matt has a Norm MacDonald story, and there’s a new Eminem album out, giving Matt ample opportunity to try out for official slam poet of the #resistance. 381: Jaws And Christian Corner With Dave Thomason And Scott Luhrs

Remember that guy who said ska is the sound a 13-year-old hears in his head when he gets more mozzarella sticks? That’s Well that was Dave Thomason (Comedy Central, HBO) who said that, and he’s on the show this week. He joins Vince and Matt, along with fellow comic Scott Luhrs. We’re revisiting Jaws (in order to better appreciate The Meg), as well as Tales From NPR, and Christian Corner. This week’s Christian title is God Bless The Broken Road, a film adaptation of a Rascal Flatts song from the director of God’s Not Dead and God’s Not Dead 2 about soldiers and NASCAR starring LaDainian Tomlinson. We even have an EXCLUSIVE first-hand Kirk Cameron story. It’s pretty good stuff. TEASER: Episode 380, Je Suis Paul Flart, With George Chen And Johnny Taylor Jr.

Here’s just a little taste of Episode 380, which you can download now if you’re a Patreon subscriber — Patreon.com/Frotcast

Here’s the full episode description: This week on the Frotcast, we talk about the biggest miscarriage of justice of the modern era. That’s right, I’m talking about “Paul Flart,” the farting security guard who got fired simply for being so good at farting. Should we write letters to our congressmen? Was Paul Flart inspired by the famous Frotcast segment “Paul Blarg Presents?” Helping us ponder these questions and more are comedians Johnny Taylor Jr. and George Chen, the latter of the SupDoc documentary podcast. We also talk cults, Asia Argento, the Boots Riley/Spike Lee feud, and of course, we devote a good 10 minutes to Matt’s weird childhood masturbation stories. This one is for the Patreon donors! Enjoy!

376: To All The Guests We’ve Loved Before

So, do you like Cars 3 director Bobby Hacker? What about Vice writer Alison Stevenson? And how about Brian Abrams, author of Obama: An Oral History (previously of Heeb and Death and Taxes)? All these acclaimed past Frotcast guests join Matt Lieb from the Star Wars Show and me, Vince Mancini from FilmDrunk, for a podcast about Brian’s new book and our thoughts on the new Netflix rom-com, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Of course, this being The Frotcast, we also have to cover jelqing and the NYC Tinder girl who set up a date with 100 guys and made them compete for her affection. Enjoy and frot on, donate at Patreon.com/frotcast

379: Brendan Returns! With Yusef Roach

This week on the Frotcast, it’s co-host Brendan’s triumphant return from fathering children. Brendan joins the irregular regular Matt Lieb and Vince, with returning guest, comedian Yusef Roach. Yusef just got fired, possibly for social media reasons, so we ask about that, and then I play all my favorite football reality shows for ex-NFL Europe player Brendan. Can you predict the moral of the bad football coach parable? After that we talk “Bitch I’m a Cow,” the song of the Summer, and we all watched the 1993 classic The Fugitive. Is it the best cast movie ever made? We also talk awards shows, Colin Jost, and more. Enjoy and Frot on — donate to our Patreon at Patreon.com/Frotcast, and help out Yusef at Patreon.com/deathisimminent.

Aquaman in Justice League via warner bros

374: Injustice League, With Jeff May

Aquaman in Justice League via warner bros

This week on the Frotcast, we’ve got comedian Jeff May from Tom & Jeff Watch Batman on to discuss Justice League, which we finally made it all the way through after falling asleep two or three times. Worth it? (It’s currently free on HBO). We also discuss James Gunn getting fired by Disney thanks to a letter writing campaign organized by an accused rapist, and the Georgia Assemblyman who resigned after Sacha Baron Cohen tricked him into shouting the N-word and being incredibly racist 16 or 17 times. That Cohen, such a trickster. Also best wishes to overdosee Demi Lovato from ex-heroin addict Matt Lieb. Eat the rich, eat that butt. Much love and Frot on, donate at Patreon.com/Frotcast.

Sacha Baron Cohen talk begins around minute 15.

Justice League talk begins around 42 minutes.

373: Book Of Henry, With Yusef Roach And Harry Moroz

This week on the Frotcast, me (Vince Mancini) and Matt Lieb are in the Frotquarters, joined by comedians Harry Moroz and Yusef Roach to talk about one of the most baffling movies of the last few years: Colin Trevorrow’s Book of Henry. It seemed timely, as Trevorrow recently claimed that Book of Henry is a “carbon copy” of A New Hope, the first Star Wars movie. Also, it’s on HBO Go now. Besides that, we learn about how Yusef grew up idolizing Jack Sparrow living in the Caribbean, how Harry grew up short and horny in Michigan, and typical Matt Lieb facts about how he has sex with inanimate stuff. Also we answer your curiously earnest emails! frotcast@gmail.com, 415 275 0030. Enjoy and Frot on.
