It’s always a treat for us when one of the several Joes or Joeys we know stops by to talk about movies and life and junk. That’s why this bonus episode of the Frotcast is the sweetest treat of all. This week, Joey Avery and Joey Devine zoom into the Frotquarters to compete for who is the ultimate Frotcast Joey. In many ways, this is your typical episode of the podcast. Unfortunately these are not normal times and protesters have taken to the streets because the police are 🎵still racist after all these years. Therefore, the subject of racist police brutality will be discussed by a bunch of white dudes which is grossly unfair. I’d like to think that we are at the very least doing our duty by discussing our role as white men in a racist society, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Still, I think you’ll enjoy the episode as we talk about any number of subjects including online cancellations, shark pussy, and the national guard handing out old people pardons to Facebook dads who have been recently radicalized. It’s a somber but fun one.

Frotcast Live Riff Episode, Limitless With Joey Devine And Alison Stevenson (TEASER)

For this month’s bonus live riff, the FilmDrunk Frotcast has selected Limitless, the original (lol, kinda?) “what if hunnert percent brain?” classic from 2011. It’s a film that plays like the screenwriter took a bunch of Adderall and wrote a film about SUPER Adderall that gives you superpowers. What if Bradley Cooper took Adderall? Would he court Lady Gaga even more meticulously? Turns out he mostly just gets a haircut and puts on a new suit, transforming himself from David Foster Wallace into Bradley Cooper, handsome movie star.

Joining us on this adventure are Joey Devine from the Roundball Rock podcast and Alison Stevenson of V Single. This is just a teaser, but you can get the entire episode by subscribing to our Patreon at the $20 level. That way you can hear our entire live riff of Limitless PLUS Matt telling the full story of finding out an ex was cheating on him from hearing her on a podcast. What a fun episode! Totally worth your donation! You’ll also get to hear all of our movie review podcasts. You’ll never be lonely when you have the Frotcast.

Frotcast 406: Triple Frot-tier, With Joey Devine And Zach Johnston

Hi Frot family!

It’s that time of the week again where Vince and I regale you with our wit and charm regarding everything from film to anatomy. That’s right, it’s time for you weekly dose of potent, high octane, 99% pure, uncut Frottage. This week, we have Joey Devine of the NBA podcast Roundball Rock gracing the frotquarters as well as UPROXX’s own Zach Johnston. We discuss a wide array of topics, starting with Shane Dawson’s vehement denial that he had sex with his cat, to the recent This American Life in which Jon Ronson gets the skinny on the true origin story of Alex Jones, who told everyone in high school that he was the devil. Then we discuss the thing that literally everyone comes to the Frotcast to listen to… movies. Specifically, we talk the new Netflix film Triple Frontier starring Ben Affleck and Oscar Isaac. And finally, Matt Lieb (me) bring back Royalty Freestyle. Not that it ever left, but Vince and I have sworn to get back into the swing of doing it every episode. You do not wanna miss this one. You’ll never be lonely when you have the Frotcast.

Frotcast 402: Neeson’s Folly, Feat. Burnsy, Joey Devine, And Sal Calanni

Hello my dear Frot family,

First, Vince and I would like to thank you for your years of loyal and steadfast service as listeners of the Frot. Without our legion of nearly billions of listeners we would be nothing. And without our Patreon donors we would literally be dead. We would be destitute — our clothes in tatters, our bellies distended, and you would be ashamed to greet us on the street. So we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for keeping us alive with your patronage. Never forget that it is YOU that makes America great. And to show our gratitude we have added brand new Patreon tiers for those of you who want to get more from your donations. Check it out here!

Anyway, we got another brand new episode of the Frotcast for your young supple minds to feed upon. This week, Matt and Vince are joined by the incomparable Ashley Burns who was more than pleased to give some sound parenting advice. Also gracing the Frotquarters were comedians Sal Calanni and Joey Devine. In this episode you’ll hear an incredible discussion about how Liam Neeson once yearned to commit a hate crime, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam once embodied a hate crime, and Steven Seagal once created a musical hate crime with his reggae track “Me Want The Punani.” It’s a fabulous episode and you should give the Frotcast a positive review and 5 stars on iTunes.

Enjoy!

Frotcast 383: Kaseem Sees Ladybird, With Joey Devine

This week brings great guests to the Frotquarters, comedians Joey Devine from Roundball Rock and returning guest Kaseem Bentley, soon to be recording his comedy album. Strangely enough, we actually talk almost exclusively movie stuff this week, from Shane Black getting flack for hiring his pal the convicted sex offender to the Oscars postponing their “popular achievement” Oscar. Also, Kaseem saw Ladybird, Matt has a Norm MacDonald story, and there’s a new Eminem album out, giving Matt ample opportunity to try out for official slam poet of the #resistance.
