Frotcast Bonus: Avengers Endgame (Teaser)

This week saw the release of the biggest movie, nay, cultural, event in the history of the universe, Avengers Endgame, so naturally we devoted an entire podcast to it. It’s available to our Patreon subscribers and you can check it the hell out here, at Patreon dot com slash Frotcast. Keep on Avenging, and as always, you’ll never be lonely when you have the Frotcast.

Frotcast 409: Pray The Warts Away, With Jason Webb

Ask and you shall receive: back by popular demand on this week’s Frotcast, it’s Joe Sinclitico. Joe is freshly engaged to be married (!!!), which doesn’t stop him from talking about his stint as a porn cameraman in his mid 20s (another listener-requested story). Comedian Jason Webb is also joining us this week, talking about his preacher father, his North Carolina upbringing, and the incredible story of the time a man used prayer to cure his plantar wart (you have to hear this one).

We also talk the best Tom Selleck movies, and of course Game Of Thrones. We answer all the burning questions, like whether Bran is the Night King and which Stark kid is the best. Is Game Of Thrones the best normie-approved cultural phenomenon we can hope for? Or is it the cultural juggernaut known as the FilmDrunk Frotcast? As always, subscribe to our Patreon for this week’s bonus content and leave us a review on iTunes (and thanks for the recent ones, you guys).

You’ll never be lonely when you have the Frotcast.

TEASER – Frotcast Bonus: Matt And Vince Talk ‘Hellboy’

This week’s bonus episode is now available on Patreon!

This week, Matt and I saw Hellboy, which pretty much everyone hated except for me, including Matt, apparently. Though we do agree that Hellboy is a perfect Gen X protagonist (angry, angst-filled, but secretly believing he’s a good guy). We also agree on a lot of the salient points — like how hilarious it is that Hellboy is summoned by Rasputin during World War II with no explanation of how that happens, and the joy of watching a ball of guts become possessed by the spirits of your ancestors — but we disagree on whether that hilarity was intentional, and how much that actually matters in the scheme of things. We also read the bad reviews and discuss everyone comparing this one to Guillermo Del Toro. Finally we listen to a voicemail story from one of our listener’s crowd experience during The Favourite. Enjoy! You’ll never be lonely when you have the Frotcast.

Frotcast 408: Crispin Glover’s Air BnB, With Bill Conway

The Frotcast is back for this week’s free episode with Bill Conway, co-founder and head writer of The Hard Times, the Onion of Punk Rock, who regales us with stories of moving to LA and going to work for the hardware store that Crispin Glover calls constantly for supplies for his Air BnB. We wonder what it must be like to stay in Crispin Glover’s Air BnB. Matt has some stories about his parents living next to Glenn Danzig. We talk Little, and the trailer for the new Lion King, and the trend of Disney just remaking animated classics with CGI animals. We discover Thad Bingel, our new favorite addition to the pantheon of names that sound like joke names. Jokes were had, friends were made, some of us did a riff. It’s a podcast! You’ll love it! You’ll never be lonely when you have the Frotcast!

Don’t forget to subscribe to the Patreon and leave us a review on iTunes. Email us at frotcast@gmail.com and leave us a voicemail at 415 275 0030. We love you very much.

Frotcast 407: Name Of The Year Draft, With Josh Androsky And Brendan

Salutations Frot-nation!
It’s time for another regular ol’ boring episode of the Filmdrunk Frotcast… or IS it? It’s NOT! A regular ol’ boring episode, I mean. It’s not that. Because this week Matt, Vince, and Brendan (via Skype) got together for the annual NAME OF THE YEAR Draft, in which we read through Deadspin’s bracket of the world’s best/worst names and giggle uncontrollably. Listen at your own risk, and try not to Jizyah Shorts.

Our guest this week is Josh Androsky (@shutupandrosky) – a democratic socialist, comedian, and winner of a million dollars on a Big Bang Theory slot machine. We talk about everything from “what’s it like to win a million dollars?” to “can I have some of the million dollars?” and much more! Oh, we also talk about how Joe Biden is a creep and possibly some sort of robot. It’s one hell of an episode and you should really listen to it, and then give the Frotcast 5 stars and a review on iTunes because we need it.
